MEET JOSH
Strategist, Dreamer and Pastor at Heart
Josh is an energetic leader known for his creativity, passion and visionary approach. If you’re not naturally a dreamer, he’ll challenge you to think bigger and expand your vision. With a knack for infusing every project with fresh perspectives grounded in data, you could say he’s a data-driven dreamer.
As a co-founder of Compel You, Josh leads with integrity and a strong sense of purpose. Deeply guided by his faith in Jesus, he inspires those around him to dream boldly, think strategically and stay faithful in the work God’s entrusted to them.
With a background in marketing, business development, and years of pastoral experience in student ministry and discipleship, Josh brings a unique, blended perspective and skillset to the nonprofit world.
Josh’s blend of church ministry and marketplace experience helps him approach challenges with a well-rounded, insightful view. He is passionate about helping Christian organizations maximize impact by thinking strategically like marketers and executing with the heart of pastors. Whether he’s strategizing how to implement well-defined processes or creating meaningful connections with donors, Josh is dedicated to helping your organization reach its full potential, including giving potential.
From his years in the marketing world, Josh firmly believes in understanding the stories that data tells us. But he balances this data-centric view with his years of pastoral ministry knowing that God is always at work.
“Since He’s always at work, we have to yield our hearts and expectations to His outcomes. Our job is to show up and be faithful with what He’s given us. Like the parable of the talents, wisdom and hard work yield a reward.”
As an Enneagram 7, Josh thrives on innovation, adventure, and is fueled by living life with whole-hearted generosity. When Josh is out-of-office, you’ll likely find him coaching soccer for his sons, training for a HYROX race, hosting in his home with Kaitlin, or serving as a lay elder in his church. If you don’t catch him doing any of that, chances are he's packing his bags for the next adventure–he loves to travel and explore with his family.
